The Public Service Commission (PSC) has made a significant announcement that could transform the career prospects for many Kenyans. They are inviting applications for over 800 positions across various ministries, state departments, and government agencies. On December 16, the PSC shared a notice detailing their recruitment drive, which encompasses a wide range of job categories, including both entry-level and promotional roles. The promotional vacancies include high-responsibility positions such as Secretary in the Government Delivery Unit and Economic Planning, Director of the Foreign Service, and Assistant Director of the Foreign Service.
The PSC is also looking to fill key roles like Chief Engineer, Director of Domestic Trade, and Assistant Directors in various fields including Investment and Youth Development, as well as important positions like Director of Meteorological Services. These roles are critical for the functioning of the government and offer great potential for career growth.
Additionally, there are several promotional roles available for Secretaries in Human Resource Management, Public Sector Reforms, Regional Development, Social Development, and the Director of Children Services. The positions span from Civil Service Grade (CSG 4) to CSG 7, featuring attractive titles such as secretary, director, deputy director, and assistant director.
For those just starting their careers, the PSC has also announced numerous entry-level positions, including Administration Officer, Human Resource Management Officer, Development Officer, and Compliance Audit Officer. Furthermore, the PSC plans to recruit 300 Clerical Officers, 20 Land Information Officers, 55 Lands Records Management Assistants, and 150 Office Assistants, thus significantly increasing the number of available positions.
